The Georgetown Art & Wine Walk happens September 13th and 14th on Front Street in the historic community of Georgetown, South Carolina. Over $5,000 in cash awards are planned for artists and there will be a People’s Choice Award voted on by guests over the weekend of the show.  The event will include living art, pleinair and photo competitions, interactive art installations,  plein air events, children’s art activities, wine tastings, and musical entertainment.  Our judges will select winners in 2D art and 3D art and will award 10 prizes ranging from $300 to $1000 . We seek visual artists whose work in a variety of media including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, photography & digital art, represents the highest quality in design, materials, and workmanship. There will also be a non-juried art show and sale both days.

All entries must be approved by the GBA’s Georgetown Art & Wine Walk Committee (GAWW). GAWW Members maintain the exclusive right to refuse any entry that, in GAWW’s sole discretion, do not meet festival standards.

• Work will be accepted based on quality, originality, craftsmanship, and creativity and will be accepted for display and awards by a distinguished panel of artists and creators.

• Works that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent, or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by the GAWW in its sole discretion, are ineligible for all sections of this contest.

• Accepted works will be displayed at one of several venues in the 600-900 blocks of Front St.in Georgetown, SC, where they will be made available for sale to the public. A 20% commission fee will be deducted from the sale price by the GAWW.

• Entries open on May 25th. Deadline for submissions: is June 25th. Accepted entrants will be notified on or before July 7th. All work must be delivered to the GAWW between Aug 23rd and Aug 27, 2025 before 6 PM, to the address supplied in your acceptance notice.

• Award winners will remain on display Sep 13th through Sep 20th. Artists may pick up their entries between 10am and 3PM from Sep 21st through Sep 29th.

Entry Fees (Non-Refundable):
A single image entry is $30 | Up to 3 additional entries are $10 each.

Cancellation Policy:
An accepted application is a commitment to participate in the show. Submission fees are non-refundable (except in the unlikely event that this event is canceled by GAWW. Any refunds will be given less a 3% fee.) The GAWW will notify winners via the contact information provided at the time of entry; the GAWW may disqualify anyone who fails to respond to the notification within five business days.

Other than verifying receipt, please do not contact us about the status of entries or judging.

Conditions of Entry:
All entrants hold the city of Georgetown, the GBA, exhibition venues, sponsors, and their respective agents, directors, officers, employees, and volunteers (the “Indemnified Parties”) harmless from and against all claims of any nature arising in connection with the entrant’s participation in the contest and acceptance or use of a prize. The Indemnified Parties are not liable for any costs, damages, injuries, or other claims incurred because of the entrants’ participation in the contest or the winner’s acceptance and usage of a prize. The Indemnified Parties are not responsible for incomplete or misdirected entries, technical or network malfunctions or failures, or causes beyond their control.

Entrants are solely responsible for their entries. Entrants may not submit materials that introduce any software viruses, worms, or other programs designed to damage software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment.

The GAWW reserves the right to cancel the competition or modify these rules at its discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the winners, the GAWW reserves the right to award or not award the prizes at its sole discretion. GAWW reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to: inhibit the enjoyment of others; tamper with the competition; violate these rules or other applicable laws or regulations; infringe on the rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Decisions of the GAWW are final and binding.

Submission Guidelines

Prizes:

• 1st Place: in 2d art/photography/3d sculpture category will each receive: $1000
• Honorable Mentions: in art/photography/sculpture category will each receive: $500
• People’s Choice: There will be one from the entire show. The winner will receive: $500. (all votes will be cast in person during event hours limit one vote per entry/person)

2d & 3d Art:
Artists wishing to enter their work in 2d painting/ drawing/ multimedia or 3d sculpture sections of the (GAWW) juried art show should complete the application form below, attaching photos of their work where indicated. Please save images as .jpeg, .jpg, (less than 5MB in size) to upload. Each artist may submit up to 4 pieces 2d, or 3d (each sculpture or sculpture grouping must be less than 80”= Length x Height x Depth). Sculptures must be delivered ready to display and sculptures weighing over 20lbs must be placed by the artist in coordination with the display venue. Diptychs and Triptychs are permitted but must not exceed 140″ linear inches.

Photography:
The (GAWW ) Photography competition is open to any living photographer, 18 years of age or older. You may submit up to 4 photographs, uploaded with the submission form. Photographs must be submitted in the orientation they are meant to be viewed in .jpeg, .jpg format, edited for web in sRGB 8 bit color space, up to 2,000 pixels wide and no larger than 5MB. Color and Black & White are eligible. Diptychs and Triptychs are permitted but must not exceed 140″ linear inches.

Deadline for submissions: is June 25th. Accepted entrants will be notified on or before July 17th. All work must be delivered to the GAWW between Aug 23rd and Aug 27, 2025 before 6 PM, to the address supplied in your acceptance notice.
